Celebrating
A New Year!
With New Resources!
Paul
Bibbee did a great job on restoring the '59 Chevy
Fleetside pickup. The truck had been sitting on a farm
in Monroe, WA for nearly 30 years. Even though the truck
starts and runs fine, there were portions of rusted
areas where
there was no body left!
-
Paul
learned how to fashion metal sheets to replace
complete sections of the body by welding them
together. This allowed Paul to
use as little body filler as possible, retaining the
integrity and appearance of the original. Paul
used professional auto body tools and procedures to get straight
lines and a glossy coat of paint for a remarkable
transformation.
-
Tires
and Chrome rims were donated by the Wenatchee branch
of Les Schwab Tires.
-
Wood
for the bed was donated by Tim & Ingrid Webber of
Cashmere
Our
next project, although not as formidable as this truck,
is a GMC 2 ton flatbed with a new engine, exhaust and
brakes recently donated by Alex Olsen of The Leavenworth
Auto Center. |
